Office Survivor: Upgrade Tier List & Strategy Guide

A ranked tier list of every weapon, passive, and evolution in The Grind, plus the build orders that consistently push past the 20-minute mark. Updated for the current Arsenal.

Weapon tier list

  • SSpreadsheet Storm — Constant ambient damage; evolves into Infinite Pivot which pulls and shreds dense waves.
  • SMeeting Aura — Zero aim required. Endless Meeting evolution freezes packs, perfect for late-game survival.
  • AEmail Blast — Reliable single-target. Inbox Overflow chains to clear elite trains.
  • AWater Cooler Talk — Zone control. Office Flood evolution scales hard into 20+ minute runs.
  • ASlack Ping — Bounces between targets. Thread Bomb adds boss-melting AOE on the last hop.
  • BPrinter Jam — Decent burst; Paper Shredder trails punish chokepoints but needs movement discipline.
  • BKeyboard Smash — Strong melee — only safe with high move speed and Mechanical Rage knockback.
  • BPassive-Aggressive Notes — Corporate Sabotage chain-explosions shine in tight rooms, weak in open maps.
  • CCoffee Spill — Caffeine Meltdown is fun but the base puddles are slow to activate — pair with attack speed.

Passive tier list

  • SCalendar Sync — Unlocks Endless Meeting (aura freeze). Take immediately if you opened with Meeting Aura.
  • SData Driven — Gates Infinite Pivot. Stack early — Spreadsheet evolution is run-defining.
  • AHydration Break — Required for Office Flood. Also boosts zone duration on Water Cooler builds.
  • AOvertime Policy — Enables Inbox Overflow chain. Picks up easily alongside Email Blast.
  • AWork From Home — Defensive backbone — pairs with Out of Office Immunity for survival builds.
  • BBurnout — Unlocks Caffeine Meltdown; otherwise mediocre on its own.
  • BDo Not Disturb — Required for Thread Bomb. Skip unless you committed to Slack Ping.
  • BMultitasking — Great if you can keep 4+ weapons leveled; trap pick on focused builds.

Evolution tier list

  • S📨 Inbox Overflow — Chains to nearby enemies — clears swarms while you focus on dodging.
  • S🌀 Infinite Pivot — Expanding storm that pulls enemies in. Single best wave-clear in the game.
  • S❄️ Endless Meeting — Aura freeze on tick — survivability ceiling raiser for long runs.
  • A🌊 Office Flood — Zone grows and pushes outward. Repositioning safety net.
  • A💣 Thread Bomb — AOE on final bounce — strongest single-target burst for elites and bosses.
  • B💥 Caffeine Meltdown — Big AOE on puddle expiry. Needs attack-speed stacking to feel good.
  • B🗡️ Paper Shredder — Damage trails — strong in choke maps, awkward in open arenas.
  • B🧨 Corporate Sabotage — Chain reactions between notes; needs density to pop.
  • C💢 Mechanical Rage — Knockback shockwaves help defensively but melee remains risky.

Best build orders

Pivot Storm (S-tier wave clear): Spreadsheet Storm → Data Driven → Triple Shot Espresso → Caffeine Surge. Evolve to Infinite Pivot by level ~12 and the screen plays itself.

Frozen Meeting (survival): Meeting Aura → Calendar Sync → Ergonomic Cushion → Out of Office Immunity. Endless Meeting carries you through 25+ minute runs.

Inbox Chain (balanced): Email Blast → Overtime Policy → Passive Aggression (crit) → Standing Desk. Inbox Overflow chains scale into elite waves.

General tips

  • Always pick the passive that gates your main weapon's evolution before stat upgrades.
  • Take Quarterly Bonus (XP) early — faster level-ups outscale flat damage.
  • Cap weapons at 4 and prioritize evolving two before adding a third — Multitasking is a trap on focused builds.
  • Open Floor Plan (pickup radius) makes coin showers and XP pulls trivial; one stack is enough.
  • Reroll level-ups when you see only stat picks — evolutions decide the run.
